Greet customers patrons or visitors.
Provide event information to patrons.
Collect admission tickets and passes at entertainment events.
Settle seating disputes and resolve customer concerns.
Mediate disputes and resolve customer complaints.
Examine tickets or passes to verify authenticity.
Verify patron or staff credentials.
Assist patrons with special needs such as those who use wheelchairs.
Guide patrons to exits or provide instructions in case of emergency.
Usher patrons to seats or exits.
Verify credentials of patrons entering authorized areas.
Refuse admittance to those without tickets/passes.
Distribute programs to patrons.
Assist patrons by giving directions within or outside the facility.
Help patrons find seats using flashlights if necessary.
Maintain order and ensure adherence to safety rules.
Monitor the environment to ensure safety.
Search for lost articles or parents of lost children.
Search bags for outside food beverages or unsafe items.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma/GED.
Entertainment experience preferred.
PHYSICAL MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work with the public and enjoy customer interactions.
Good speaking voice and quick thinking ability.
Ability to work as part of a team and get along with co-workers.
Flexibility to work any day of the week and any shift.
Well-groomed appearance meeting company standards.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Physical ability to maneuver throughout event areas and stand for long periods.
Ability to bend crouch stoop kneel crawl twist and balance when interacting with guests.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Proficiency in reading writing speaking and understanding English.
Tolerance for areas containing secondary smoke.
