You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Divisions of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery Metabolic and Abdominal Reconstructive Surgery Endocrine Surgery and Breast and Melanoma Surgical Oncology are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work as part of a highly collaborative team of consultants fellows residents nurses and other staff to provide 24/7 coverage managing the inpatient care of adult general surgical patients undergoing complex liver pancreas gastric endocrine abdominal wall reconstruction and breast procedures. NP/PAs are extremely valued members of surgery team where teamwork and collaboration is essential to meeting the needs of the patients for whom we provide care.
The NP/PA hospitalist team conducts comprehensive care of patients including: ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests diagnosing complications daily patient management from admission to discharge prescribing of pharmacologic agents treatments and non-pharmacologic therapies where a high level of autonomy is expected.
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and nurse practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification or eligible to be certified as an ANP ACNP or FNP or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by the NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice. The NP/PA must be eligible for DEA registration.
