We have developed our role and reputation as a key player in shaping the current and future provision of physical activity and sport across the county and work with a wide range of partners including local authorities the health sector charitable/voluntary organisations and third sector organisations to support people in Suffolk to lead healthy active lives.
Your role:
You will work as part of the Place-based Partnership team who are working collaboratively with a wide range of partner organisations in West Suffolk to develop a place-based approach focussed on Lakenheath and the wider West Suffolk locality with the aim of improving the health & wellbeing of local communities.
You will be providing administrative support for the partnership team and local partners as we develop a place-based approach to developing physical activity and health and wellbeing of the local community.
You must have excellent communication listening and organisation skills and have the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
The role is funded by Sport Englands Place-based expansion investment and is in partnership with key local organisations West Suffolk Council West Suffolk Alliance Suffolk County Council Public Health & Communities Abbeycroft Leisure University of Suffolk and Active Suffolk.

How youll work
We know the world has changed and we offer our employees the chance to work in our office space whilst enjoying the convenience of working from home. Active Suffolk has adopted a hybrid approach to give staff more flexibility on working arrangements. We work countywide and so some travel will be involved in this post and a flexible approach to working hours is required.
It is envisaged that this role will require significant time spent in the West Suffolk locality and you will be required to work from an office in this area.

*Your office base
Our main office is based at Riduna Park Melton and is located directly opposite Melton train station with direct train links to Lowestoft and Ipswich. There are bike shelters and showers available on site.
Joint working arrangements with key partners in the West Suffolk locality will be confirmed once the post holder has been appointed.
