What youll do:
Oversee Treatment Plant Employees to ensure:
- All treats meet discharge limits
- Consolidate like materials for bulk treatment or settlement
- Clean contents to avoid cross contamination and reduce odor causing issues
- Coordinate the proper disposal of waste not meant for city sewer discharge as stated by our discharge permit to third party facilities. Ex: Nonpolar Oil Solids and Non-conforming waste.
- Asset maintenance including pumps variable frequency drives mixers diffusers etc
- Entire facility maintenance: Wastewater team is required to service maintain and clean ALL aspects in the facility from HVAC filters to bathrooms to floors break rooms unused offices and bathrooms to ensure there is no mold growing in the bathrooms etc.
- Facility Inspection EHS Compliance ETC.
- Chemical Storage: incorrect or unsafe storage/stacking quantities leaks crystallization and separation of high and low pH proper labeling.
- Safety: PPE spill kits etc. Harness inspections ladder inspections Etc.
- Maintain records of all compliance documents create documents to assist you if not provided.
- Wastewater Tech Training
- Employee relations Maintain positive team driven atmosphere
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Supply/ Vendor ordering including tracking of budgetary spending chemical/supply usage and monitoring
- Ensure lab is clean and equipment properly calibrated by having properly trained employees
- Communicate with both members of team and clients as necessary
- Research alternative treatment methods based on regulatory limitations
- Maintain compliance with MMSD including monthly sampling events reporting and third party testing
- SPCC plan Updates Every 5 years the plan needs to be re-certified
Facility Monthly Compliance
- Facility Checklist Eye Wash Fire Extinguishers Pumps Piping Security etc.
- OSHA Compliance
Whats required:
Level I Treatment Plan Certification required
Minimum of a two-year associates degree required or equivalent work experience
Five (5) years of experience in related area
One (1) or more years of Supervisory experience
