SALARY: up to $22.76 per hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is part of the NEAT (Neighborhood Enforcement Action Team) Crew which is responsible for removing items such as trash debris yard waste tires etc. from properties that are not in compliance with city and state laws regarding property maintenance. NEAT also cleans illegally dumped items from alleyways and other rights-of-way. In addition NEAT assists with special assignments as needed such as storm clean-up and snow removal. NEAT also helps with community organized clean-ups and day-to-day clean-up activities including the operation of a variety of heavy equipment power equipment and hand tools. They also perform related work as assigned under direct and indirect supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This list represents the types of duties required by the position. Other duties may be assigned as reasonably expected.
Operates and loads dump truck loader and lightening loader.
Clears trash and debris from property.
Cleans and maintains trucks loaders and other equipment.
Cuts rakes and bags weeds and debris; cuts and trims bushes.
Conducts snow removal and cleans snow and ice from walkways and bridges.
Maintains daily reports.
Operates electronic devices i.e. iPad.
Tact and diplomacy expected daily in interacting with residents and co-workers.
NON-ESSENTIAL/MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this position successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent education required.
One year experience operating heavy equipment and/or light equipment
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY
Knowledge of proper and safe use of vehicles.
The ability to quickly respond (with the hand finger or foot) to a signal (sound light picture) when it appears.
The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift or push pull or carry objects.
The ability to bend or stretch twist or reach with your body arms and/or legs.
The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted remaining alert at all times.
The ability to safely use/walk behind a mower.
The ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
The ability to use mobile applications mobile devices (iPad smartphone radio).
CERTIF V ICATES LICENSE REGISTRATION:
Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class A or B required at hire or within 60 days of hire.
EQUIPMENT:
City pick-up truck with plow dump truck one yard loader lightning loader tree trimming
saws and various snow blowers. Mobile devices (iPad smartphone tablet radio) laptop telephone; safety equipment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an
employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable

Employee performs physical activity that requires frequent standing and walking; use hands to
finger handle feel or operate objects tools and controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Must load unload materials or products and move or fit heavy objects The
employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in precarious places; is exposed
to wet and/or humid conditions fumes airborne particles toxic or caustic chemicals and
vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. Noise level in the work environment is often high. Must be able to lift 75 pounds or more.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Employee rides in an enclosed vehicle daily and is exposed to both extreme and adverse
weather conditions. Exposure to pollutants dust gases odors or distracting noises or sounds
is common. There is also exposure to cuts bites or stings. Entire office area and City vehicles
are smoke free.
