Position Title: Student Intern
Department of Implementation Science
Wake Forest University School of Medicine
Division of Public Health Sciences
The Lancaster Lab is seeking a motivated intern to assist our team in the Department of Implementation Science. Our work is focused on addressing implementation gaps testing interventions and evaluating impacts on the interrelationships among substance use (including drugs and alcohol) stigma and HIV/HCV/STI in global and domestic settings.
As an intern you would receive training in qualitative research methods and manuscript development. You would also assist with additional project-related tasks as needed. We are looking for someone who is 1) enthusiastic about learning how to conduct research and 2) interested in public health substance use and HIV/STIs.

Hours: 10 hours
Location: Remote
Start Date: Summer 2025
Supervision: This position will be conducted under the direction of Dr. Kathryn Lancaster
Qualifications
Current undergraduate student
Strong scientific and professional writing skills
Experience conducting literature reviews
Self-starter with strong organizational skills
CITI certification in Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) for Biomedical Investigators and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) for Clinical Trials will be required for this position. While these certifications are not mandatory at the time of application as the selected candidate will be given time to obtain them after beginning the internship prior completion of these certifications is considered a preferred qualification.
