Qualifications/Skills/Requirements
- You should be educated to degree level or equivalent in Engineering preferably electrical engineering computer engineering software engineering or computer science
- A Masters degree in the Engineering disciplines above is desirable
- Proven work experience as a software engineer or software developer
- Experience designing control system software and interactive applications
- Ability to develop software in C/C or other programming languages as required that will interface with a software platform
- Ability to debug software problem solve and analyze information to find solutions
- Ability to document requirements and specifications
- Some introductory knowledge of project management principles
- Experience within the GSE industry is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to meet project timelines and excellent organisational skills
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel/Word/Powerpoint

Opportunity
Textron Sweden AB is seeking a Software Engineer who will be based at their offices in Trelleborg Sweden. Reporting to the Plant Manager the Software Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and developing current and new vehicle control software. This includes gathering user requirements defining system functionality and writing code in various programming languages. Ultimately the role of the Software Engineer is to build high-quality innovative and fully performing software that complies to coding standards and technical design. Textron Sweden AB develops produces and supplies Safeaero de-icing vehicles to customers all over the world. This position includes an extensive share of hands-on design/engineering work.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Software development in C/C
- Preparing and presenting ideas for new/improved systems addressing cost schedule and risks
- Develop flowcharts layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions
- Preparation of documentation and training manuals
- Write well designed testable code
- Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
- Integrate software components into a fully functional vehicle system
- Develop software verification plans
- Document and maintain software functionality
- Troubleshoot debug and upgrade existing systems
- Cross-platform development experience (Linux Android and/or Windows)

- Demonstrated ability to execute small scale projects with on time delivery
