Description

We are recruiting for a facility technician who will be supporting the site manager with various task to ensure a safe environment for all employees. We are looking for an experienced facility technician who can join an exciting growing business line at Intertek.

Required skills and experience:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must hold UK Driving Licence to drive vehicles up to 3.5T
  • Good understanding of Electrical Safety/Plumbing
  • Be able to operate Workshop Tools and Equipment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities
  • Creative approach to problem solving

Beneficial skills and experience

  • Experience of working in Corporate Environment
  • Fork Lift Truck Licence

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

You will be an essential part of our facilities team on site supporting on a wide range of responsibilities including; Site maintenance including minor electrical work fabrication of test rigs and assisting stores.

Key activities:

  • Site Maintenance which will include some minor electrical work plumbing building repairs/maintenance and simple carpentry
  • Maintenance and Inspection of Equipment in line with Health & Safety Regulations
  • Fabricate Test Rigs as required by our Operational Teams
  • Assist with stores and Logistics/Sample Management
  • Keyholder for the Building to open/close as required
  • Provide cover for the Site Manager during periods of Absence
  • Recommend the issue re-issue or withdrawal of certificates and report recommendations in accordance with Intertek policy procedures and prescribed timeframe.
  • Proactively identifies new and/or amended product standards/directives and ensures Interteks certification schemes are kept up to date and relevant to current market needs.
