Job Description

Position Overview and Responsibilities
The Lee Laboratory in the Cardiovascular Biology Research Program (CVB) at the OMRF is seeking postdoctoral scientists to lead research projects on immunometabolism in cardiometabolic diseases. Postdocs will investigate how immune remodeling and metabolism interact with cardiac function and electrophysiology in response to risk factor stressors. The Lee Lab CVB and OMRF offer state-of-the-art resources including advanced equipment for cardiac physiology mitochondrial and metabolic studies flow cytometry spatial and bulk transcriptomics and bioinformatics analysis through the Center for Biomedical Data Sciences. Some responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in a biological science chemistry physics or other relevant area M.D. or equivalent.

We seek individuals who are passionate about scientific discovery highly motivated and eager to contribute to advancing research. Successful candidates should be detail-oriented well-organized and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential including the ability to clearly summarize and present research findings.

Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with prior research experience and publications in immunology and cardiometabolic diseases are highly desired. Additional expertise in echocardiography electrophysiology and surgical techniques for heart disease is advantageous and will support the development of independent research directions.
