Empowered is looking for an Instructional Content Specialist to join our team. In this role youll create high-quality instructional resources including classroom activities teacher tip videos digital downloads printables and more all designed to support educators who bring Empowereds Instructional Strategies to life.
The ideal candidate has a background in education and an understanding of what its like to be in the classroom. You will bring strong written and verbal communication skills as well as a working knowledge of how students learn and how effective lessons are designed. Were looking for someone who can work collaboratively to create content thats meaningful easy to use and truly helpful for teachers.
This role reports to the Educational Materials Manager and is based in Wichita KS.
How You Will Contribute
- Design real-world experiential learning activities and digital content that integrates Empowereds Instructional Strategy
- Write engaging educator-facing materials to inspire and share knowledge in the Empowered Teacher community
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to co-create refine and align content with Empowereds educational framework
- Utilize knowledge of current classroom technology to design and develop practical resources
- Utilize multimedia formats (videos infographics interactive tools) to deliver content that engages diverse learning styles
- Engage with and leverage educational trends and best practices to continuously improve content quality and effectiveness
- Travel to partner schools up to 25%
What You Will Bring
- Background in Education and knowledge of the Teachers role in the classroom
- Knowledge of Instructional Design and experience creating and/or executing activities and lessons
- Knowledge and understanding of Pedagogy (how students learn best teaching methods that match individual student needs classroom engagement reflection etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to create content using tools such as Canva Adobe Creative Suite or similar applications
- Ability to quickly adapt and respond in a dynamic working environment
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to think independently and problem-solve
- Entrepreneurialmindsetand an eye toward continuous personal and team improvement
- Enthusiasm to contribute to ourvision and principled approachto solving problems and a commitment to stewardingour culture which champions values including transformation and innovation entrepreneurialism humility and respect.
