The Opportunity
We have one full-time position available for a Maintenance Technician (Part time/ Casual)tosupportall aspects of the hotels Engineering to the Chief Engineer this is a fantastic opportunity to grow and advance your career in Australias first Luxury Collection Hotel.
Were looking for an experienced technician who can manage and supportthe ongoing maintenance repairs and upkeep of the building across mechanical and electrical services heating ventilation and air conditioning systems fixtures fittings and equipment of the hotel.
Key Accountabilities
- You will be responsiblein managingday-to-day maintenance requirements working with the Engineering team.
- Complete daily plant inspections
- Test troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of engineering equipment basic diagnostic skills and general construction knowledge is an advantage.
- Basic IT skills are essential in this role to keep engineering systems and records updated.
- General handyperson duties including minor carpentry plumbing and HVAC
- Ensure exceptional service delivery when attending to guest requests for maintenance repairs. Good general presentation essential.
- Establish and maintain positive customer and business relationships
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
- Move lift carry push pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20kgwithout assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance. Move up and down stairs service ramps and/or ladders. Reach overhead and below the knees including bending twisting pulling and stooping
- Support the department achieve teamobjectives and deliverables
- Work collaboratively with internal departments
- Be a brand ambassador and reflect our core values
- Other duties as required
Profile
- Experience working in a similar position (preferably hotel setting)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proactive and solutions focused
- Master in time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration electrical mechanical plumbing pneumatic/electronic systems and controls carpentry and finish skills kitchen equipment vehicles energy conservation and/or general building
- Demonstrate sound decision-making capability and able to work autonomously.
- Flexible availability to work from 8am - 8pm 7-day rotating roster as required for this role
