Job Description
Job Summary: (CDL REQUIRED)
The Yard Jockey is responsible for safely moving trailers within a warehouse or distribution yard. This includes positioning trailers for loading and unloading moving empty or loaded trailers to designated spots and ensuring the yard remains organized and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:

Move trailers between loading docks yard locations and staging areas.

Inspect trailers before and after moving to ensure safety and proper functioning.

Communicate with warehouse personnel and dispatch to coordinate trailer movements.

Maintain yard organization and report any issues with equipment or trailers.

Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
Qualifications:

Valid drivers license (CDL required)

Prior experience operating yard trucks or working in a logistics/warehouse environment preferred.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Strong communication and time management skills.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced outdoor setting with exposure to weather noise and heavy equipment.
