Job Description
- Support the ongoing development of Horizon Lelys farm management solution deployed to tens of thousands of dairy farms globally.
- Obtain and maintain an in-depth understanding of dairy farm business processes.
- Implement new features and maintain the existing code base.
- Improve the overall architecture of the Horizon application for example through modularization.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement performance improvements.
- Guarantee high code quality for example by performing code reviews and implementing unit tests.
- Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship.
- Participate in detailed project planning and design reviews.
- Translate functional requirements into technical requirements.
- Identify and disseminate best practices in the development and maintenance of applications and systems.
- Write technical documentation on implemented features and APIs.
Qualifications :
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Backend Engineering.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills (C1) in English both written and verbal.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Open to learning new technologies.
Technical Competencies:
- Proficient in C# Core .NET Framework and .NET Core.
- Experience working with RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
- Excellent knowledge of RESTful API development.
- Experience in initiating new projects and establishing infrastructure in collaboration with architects.
- Skilled in integrating off-the-shelf or open-source third-party solutions into projects.
- Familiarity with source control tools (Git).
- Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in Agile Scrum software development processes.
- Experience with unit testing (xUnit).
Nice to Have:
- Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus) is a plus.
- Cloud computing experience is a plus (Azure AWS).
- Familiarity with Azure Functions is a plus.
- Experience in developing MicroServices is a plus.
