Position Summary
The position of Epic Hospital Billing Application Analyst is a member of the Epic Billing Support Team. Reporting to the Senior Manager Finance Applications and working under the Epic Hospital Billing Team Lead. The Epic Hospital Billing Application Analyst will work to support the Epic Billing system and end users as well as providing business analysis and working on system upgrades and testing. This position ensures that clinical practices and business requirements are aligned and Epic billing is working as expected.
Duties:
Provide day-to-day support and subject matter expertise for the Epic Billing module. Troubleshooting issues providing end user support and coordinating with clinical business and technical resources. Working with Epic and other vendors as required. Track ongoing issues and initiatives. Providing reports on progress to stakeholders. Provide advice guidance and training to end users on the operation and use of Epic Billing.
Participate in weekly and monthly meetings. Including regular weekly team meetings and monthly vendor clinical and business meetings. Work with end users and stakeholders to provide status updates and align work with clinical and business directives.
Provide application testing of new Epic releases upgrades and hot fixes. Develop and perform the Epic billing test plans. Participate in roadmap planning for application upgrades.
Work on billing related projects. Including Epic Optimizations new billing and claims and implementations and integrations. Work with other clinical and business projects to provide insight into the impacts of projects and initiatives on hospital billing.
Create and maintain documentation including configurations and troubleshooting guides to ensure accurate material and to facilitate knowledge sharing. Provide mentoring cross training and support for other Epic Billing Support Team members.
