Job Description

Job Description

  • Plan organize and coordinate work of mechanics on crew.
  • Ensure quality and timeliness of work is completed within budgeted parameters.
  • Assign and status MACPAC work orders/coordinate operational schedule.
  • Support and administer labor contract for L6 & L7 and ensure safety regulations.
  • Communicate with other supervisors to help achieve and maintain smooth work flow and high degree of productivity.
  • Use electronic Time Accounting System (WFM) to maintain employees time and overtime daily.
  • Work with Supply Chain to ensure vendor adherence.

Required/Preferred Education/Training

  • High School diploma or GED required graduate Apprentice preferred.

Required/Preferred Experience

  • 1 supervisory experience required.
  • Industrial equipment experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of BMCS MACPAC.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage conflict.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a production environment is desired.
  • Strong PC skills including familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Access) and the ability to learn all other BIW required systems.
  • Ability to work independently identify and drive process improvement projects / initiatives.
