Plan organize and coordinate work of mechanics on crew.
Ensure quality and timeliness of work is completed within budgeted parameters.
Assign and status MACPAC work orders/coordinate operational schedule.
Support and administer labor contract for L6 & L7 and ensure safety regulations.
Communicate with other supervisors to help achieve and maintain smooth work flow and high degree of productivity.
Use electronic Time Accounting System (WFM) to maintain employees time and overtime daily.
Work with Supply Chain to ensure vendor adherence.
Required/Preferred Education/Training
High School diploma or GED required graduate Apprentice preferred.
Required/Preferred Experience
1 supervisory experience required.
Industrial equipment experience preferred.
Working knowledge of BMCS MACPAC.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage conflict.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
Previous supervisory experience in a production environment is desired.
Strong PC skills including familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Access) and the ability to learn all other BIW required systems.
Ability to work independently identify and drive process improvement projects / initiatives.
