Job Description
As an associate developer you will be part of a collaborative agile team responsible for the design and production of our world-class business systems through domain engineering. The domain engineering team builds reusable services that solve enterprise problems like freight scheduling and optimized routing. These systems satisfy customer and organizational business requirements and enable Expeditors to set the standard for excellence in global logistics. The associate developer will build an understanding business problems and opportunities while applying technical skills to the design development and testing of applications and systems. The ideal candidate will possess a growth mindset and not only eager to learn but also open to receiving mentorship from experienced team members in a supportive environment.
This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications :
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 0-2 years of professional software development experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming (preferably Java)
- Understanding of object-oriented analysis and design principles
- Familiarity ith SQL and relational database concepts
- Familiarity with Agile development practices
- Able to write unit integration and end-to-end tests
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Java tools and frameworks: Maven JUnit Spring Boot Hibernate/JPA
- Familiarity with front-end technologies: React or Angular TypeScript RxJS
- Exposure to cloud platforms: Azure AWS or Google Cloud
- Understanding of REST APIs GraphQL and distributed systems
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools: Docker Kubernetes ArgoCD Terraform
- Comfortable working in UNIX/Linux and Windows environments

Additional Information :
Expected base salary: $80000 to $120000
