Job Description
Responsibilities
- Vision and Values: Align with our vision to be a leading international company specialising in protective services based on people technology and knowledge. Demonstrate and implement the values of Integrity Vigilance and Helpfulness.
- Operational Excellence: Develop and implement security management systems across multiple jurisdictions engaging with various stakeholders. Provide innovative security solutions in high-pressure environments.
- Risk Management: Possess a strong understanding of risk management principles and practices particularly for a large global financial services organisation. Identify and address control deficiencies raising risks to Group Corporate Security.
- Relationship Building: Establish and sustain strong long-lasting relationships with clients and maintain frequent contact with the Aviva Group Corporate Security Team. Provide real value to clients by proposing and implementing innovative solutions.
- Team Development: Ensure adequate training advice and support for team success. Conduct regular appraisals provide feedback on progress and career development and address underperformance.
- Compliance and Reviews: Ensure compliance with global standards for physical security of Aviva buildings assets and personnel. Conduct annual physical security reviews for all Aviva UK premises.
- Cost Management: Monitor and manage all Costs to maximise efficiency while maintaining service levels. Share best practices and use systems and tools to improve profitability.
- Staff Engagement: Visit all officers at least once a month monitor performance maintain positive employee relations and ensure coaching and counselling as needed. Encourage staff recognition and nominations for awards.
Qualifications :
Essential
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Have a five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment self-employment or full and part-time education during that period.
- The ability to embody and uphold the Securitas Gore values of Integrity Vigilance and Helpfulness.
- Education to GCSE standard or equivalent including Maths and English.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel.
- Willingness to undertake further formal training and development.
- Basic keyboard skills and PC literacy.
- Previous management experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers at all levels.
- Teamwork and cooperative working skills.
- Ability to handle Confidential information.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Honesty and trustworthiness.
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Customer-focused and proactive attitude.
- Enthusiastic and driven with a creative mindset.
