A Brief Overview

Primary day-to-day oversight and accountability of the operations employees and billing office functions. This role leads the team to ensure patient accounts are being worked timely accurately and that monitors metrics to ensure best practice performance is being achieved. The Supervisor may also interact with patients through escalated patient phone calls or complaints. The Supervisor serves as the primary liaison between his or her team and other revenue cycle leaders to share feedback in efforts to achieve goals set forth by department managers and directors. It is also responsible for hiring staff monitoring productivity training coordination and managing any conflict among immediate staff members.

What you will do

  • This position serves in a key leadership role to implement monitor and facilitate improvement in the overall quality timeliness and accuracy for the department functions.
  • Effectively communicates and explains policies and procedures within the team and outside of the team when needed.
  • Collaborate with other department leaders to review identified trends and is part of the team to implement workflow that follow best practice and drive efficiency.
  • Sets daily weekly and monthly goals for the team that aligns with strategic goals. Works closely with next level leader on future goals for the department.
  • Builds engaged and empowered teams through onboarding and continuous learning. Ensure staff performance metrics are consistently tracked and reviewed with the team members to enhance accountability. Coaching/mentoring of team members to help them excel in their positions and ready for future opportunities.
  • Share feedback of any issues that may require change to workflow or further training to revenue cycle leader. Analyze quality of work within billing area.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing hiring developing training and retaining employees; planning assigning and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required Education License/Certification or Work Experience:

  • Bachelors Business economics management accounting or related field or three to four s of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education License/Certification or Work Experience:

  • Experience in leading multiple projects to completion
  • Experience in building and working in teams and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Experience in creating and implementing new processes
