Position Summary:
Sovah Danville is seeking a full-time Cardiac Sonographer I under the general guidance of the physicians/providers who perform various diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures. Primarily responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures that require independent judgment ingenuity and initiative while operating diagnostic imaging equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Graduate of a Program in Radiologic Technology or Sonographic Technology
required.
RequiredCertifications/Licenses:
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required within one year of hire.
Required Skills:
- Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including weekends and holidays to ensure appropriateness and continuity of care for the patients of Sovah Health Danville.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- American Radiologic Diagnostic Medical Sonography Registry (ARDMS) is required within one year of hire.
- Cardiac Sonographer I - Certified in either Adult Echocardiographer (AE) or Vascular Technology (VT)
Minimum Work Experience:
- Knowledgeable of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
- The job may require 1 to 6 months of on-the-job training to develop expertise and familiarization with equipment.
