Job Title: Clinical Assistant Child & Adolescent COS

Annual Salary: $37058

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Your role as a Clinical Assistant C&A COS

As a Clinical Assistant within our Youth and Family Services you will play a pivotal role in supporting children and families in need of comprehensive case management counseling crisis intervention and psychiatric services. In this position you will be responsible for reviewing correcting and monitoring clinical documentation of outpatient mental and behavioral health treatment to ensure compliance with organizational and managed care policies. You will assist clinical staff in re-engaging clients in treatment and provide critical direct support during the assessment process by completing pre-registrations taking histories and reviewing clinical documentation. Your responsibilities will also include scheduling appointments managing client records and handling billing and insurance paperwork.

As a vital point of contact between therapists and clients youll relay messages and confirm appointments while ensuring a welcoming environment in the therapy office. Your commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and privacy will be paramount as you support clients in completing necessary forms.

To thrive as a Clinical Assistant in our Youth and Family Services you will need a robust combination of educational background and practical experience. A bachelors degree in human services paired with at least six months of experience in clinical documentation is essential for success. Alternatively you may hold an associates degree in a medical specialty human services or business supported by one year of relevant experience. For those with a wealth of experience three years in specialized roles can also qualify you for this position.

Proficiency in software tools related to clinical documentation is crucial enabling you to effectively navigate patient records and manage scheduling. Strong organizational skills attention to detail and excellent communication abilities are necessary to maintain client confidentiality and create a supportive environment for clients. Your ability to multitask and prioritize will ensure that all aspects of the intake and assessment processes run smoothly.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • A bachelors degree in human services such as Social Work Counseling Psychology and 6 months of experience working with clinical documentation

OR

  • An associates degree in a Medical Specialty Human Services or Business and one year of experience working with clinical documentation

OR

  • Three (3) years of specialized work experience.
