This position exists to provide outstanding customer service with food preparation and specialty coffee services serving the Riverside Caf dining and catering. The Riverside Caf and catering exist to provide auxiliary services to students staff and organizations within the community. The Food Service Worker Position is responsible for ensuring food and drinks are prepared adequately and in a timely manner. Excellent customer service is a priority to each and every person coming into the Caf or serviced through our catering. The Food Service Worker is responsible for ensuring the area is adequately stocked prepared and cleaned for service as well as being ready for the next shift. It is expected that the food service worker assists in keeping the food production area service area storage rooms kitchen area and customer dining areas clean and organized to prevent situations of foodborne illness. The Food Service Worker is also responsible for making recommendations to supervisors regarding processes and inventory quantities. All employees of Anoka-Ramsey Community College are responsible for promoting a culture that supports diversity and inclusion in all forms as well as providing excellent customer service continuously to all internal and external contacts.
This position will be located on the Rapids campus of ARCC and there is a possibility of occasional travel to the Cambridge campus and/or ATC as needed.
Salary Range:
$20.21 - $25.05/hour
Minimum Qualifications
Math skills sufficient to collect payment count money and make change for customers
Customer Service Skills sufficient to answer general questions regarding food service and the coffee shop
Knowledge of food preparation and food safety principles
Kitchen skills such as knife handling and operating various kitchen equipment
Preferred Qualification
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals in a diverse multicultural and multiracial community
Physical Requirements
Requires daily moving and/or transporting things (such as boxes food dishes equipment etc.) weighing up to 50 pounds. Physical dexterity of hands and fingers is essential.
