Are you looking for a new and challenging role supporting industry to overcome challenges related to welding across a range of different sectors and companies If so TWI is currently seeking highly motivated applicants to support its industrial members meet their ever-changing challenges. Ideally with at least a basic knowledge of metallurgy we are seeking applicants with an interest in welding and a drive for personal development to achieve the EWF/IIW Welding Diploma at Engineer level qualified experienced candidates will also be considered.
Initial work will include specifying and estimating project work with support from colleagues and coordinating trials with associated reporting. As your experience develops the work will include office based consultancy support and welding reviews short notice requests for site support process development and validation activities through to opportunities to work on research topics related to materials performance and robotic welding including additive manufacturing.
Description of role:
The AWE Section delivers a broad range of projects to an international customer base often with demanding requirements including welding engineer support software development and welding/additive manufacture process development and is seeking to profitably grow its business in the energy defence and electrification sectors as well as developing oil & gas and construction engineering opportunities.
As a Welding Engineer in our team you will propose manage and deliver projects for our customers as well as supporting day-to-day customer enquiries. To be successful you will need to show:

We offer full initial and on-going training. This will include both theoretical and hands-on training including longer-term development towards a European or International Welding Engineer Certification.
