Serving more than 30000 students per year we offer a suite of Ministry of Advanced Education-approved programs (occupational programs in massage personal fitness trainer and funeral education; academic upgrading; and our Transitional Vocational Programming) over 60 programs and 350 courses to support professional and personal development in a wide range of topics and our Conservatory (which offers a broad range of music and speech arts programming). Our courses cover a wide range of topics including but not limited to business technology and health. These courses are offered in a variety of formats on campus online in the workplace and in the community.
The department is seeking mediation professionals interested in contributing their expertise in a coaching role for the Mediation course (XCFR 20405).
Coach hours will vary depending on the number of sessions required and assigned.

This course is offered online. The coach will:
assist students with practice mediation sessions during live/online (virtual) class times.
facilitate learning by providing feedback to students.
participate in mediation role-play during virtual student assignment recording sessions.
take ownership of meetings and record virtual student assignment meetings.
save student recordings to the students Google drive folder.
adhere to MRU and Faculty of Continuing Education policies and deadlines.
maintain regular contact with the administration team.
submit MRU electronic timesheets as per deadlines.
participate in virtual training and onboarding meetings with the administration team as required.
Education in mediation or a related field is an asset.
Experience in an adult education environment is an asset.
Professional communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong technology skills.
Self-motivated and self-directed.
Proficiency with Google Workspace saving and moving files in Google Drive using Google Meet and Jitsi for video recordings.
Professional industry designation is an asset.
Proficiency with the D2L learning management system is an asset.
Salary: $35.00/hour
