Senior Manager Consumer InsightsPosition Overview
The Consumer Insights Senior Manager is responsible for driving the understanding of consumer and customer behavior motivators and trends. This role involves translating insights into actionable strategies that enhance the companys product development marketing and overall business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection and Analysis: Oversee the design and implementation of advanced techniques across qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
Strategic Insight Development: Analyze consumer and customer data to identify trends behaviors and preferences. Develop actionable insights that inform product development marketing strategies and business decisions.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing and brands product development innovation and sales to integrate consumer and customer insights into strategic planning and execution. Develop strong relationships to establish insights function as key business partner.
Reporting and Communication: Story-tell findings and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders ensuring clear communication of insights and their implications for the business. Identify critical metrics and KPIs by working with business teams to understand their priorities.
Insights Areas of Focus: Brand health communication development shopper behavior/consumer journey and innovation
Market Trends Monitoring: Stay connected to industry trends competitive landscape and emerging consumer behaviors to inform future strategies.
Project Management: Manage multiple research projects simultaneously ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results.
Innovation and Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve research methodologies and tools to enhance the accuracy and relevance of consumer insights.
Leadership and Education: Lead the organization on the journey of understanding the power of insights to drive business objectives.
Vendor and Budget Management: Develop a strong network of strategic partner agencies that support our business objectives. Develop plans within budget.
Qualifications
Education: A bachelors degree in marketing business administration psychology sociology or a related field. A masters degree is highly desirable.
Experience: 7 years of experience in consumer insights market research or a related field. Preferably within a matrix client-side
Technical Skills: Proficiency in research methodologies data analysis tools and software (e.g. SPSS SAS PowerBI etc.).
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and compelling manner.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
Leadership Skills: Proven track record of growing and developing high-performing teams over time.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders in all areas of a matrix organization.
Industry Experience: Experience in the consumer durables or home products industry with multi-dimensional channel distribution a plus
