The anticipated duration of this temporary assignment is approximately 6 months.
Under direct supervision of Shuttle Supervisors the Principal Automotive Equipment Operator or Shuttle Driver will operate a variety of passenger shuttle buses throughout the City and County of San Francisco. The primary purpose of the position is to safely transport staff faculty and students who are required to travel between campus sites to fulfill their work and school related obligations. The drivers also support patient transportation to various UCSF clinical facilities on regular shuttles or on-demand Jitney service.
Key Responsibilities:
One year experience in the operation of commercial automotive equipment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read write and perform arithmetic calculations
Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Good oral and written communication skills
Note: Physical/health screening and background check required

Valid California Department of Motor Vehicles Drivers License with no license restrictions other than for corrective lenses
Current Class B Drivers License with Passenger Endorsement Air Brakes Endorsement and medical certification
