Software Development Engineer III, Item Reconciliation and Knowledge

Item Reconciliation and Knowledge team forms a core part of the Amazon E-Commerce platform responsible for creating/updating every product in Amazon catalog from millions of merchants and extracting/maintaining product data knowledge for stability and quality. Our expertise lies in managing billions of products in the catalog and developing large scale distributed systems that process hundreds of millions of changes to the catalog every day in real time. The team offers a unique blend of hard computer science problems and use AI/ML tools to extract product knowledge critical for business operations and customer trust.

Successful candidates are passionate about translating high-level ambiguous business goals to software platforms that enable multiple businesses. You are comfortable taking initiative and working along side top-notch software developers.

- 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team

- 5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
