Join the team at Gold Coast Private Hospital as an Endoscopy Scope Cleaner. Were looking for experienced professionals to bring their skills to our Day Surgery Unit on a casual basis.
As a member of our team you will play an important role in providing high quality service to theatres and other clinical areas. We offer a supportive environment where ourteams work closely to achievethe best patient outcomes and high standards of care.

Established in 2016 Gold Coast Private Hospital is a state-of-the-art 340-bed facility located in the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct in Southport.

With 22 operating theatres Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including but not limited to 24/7 Emergency Care Medical Services Orthopaedics Bariatrics Neurosurgery Plastic Surgery ENT (Ear Nose and Throat) General Surgery Obstetrics Cardiac Care and Oncology.

As the Endoscopy Scope Cleaner your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the standards of sterilising practice and infection control are always followed
  • Reprocessing and storage of reusable flexible scopes and accessories
  • Cleaning and maintaining automated endoscope reprocessing machines and endoscope drying cabinets
  • Maintaining accurate documentation in all phases of cleaning and storage of scopes and accessories
  • Inspect and/or test instruments /equipment for cleanliness dryness and damage prior to further processing
  • Ability to prioritise washing and reprocessing of equipment based on theatre list utilization and demand

Essential Criteria:

  • Endoscope reprocessing and/or experience in a sterilising environment desirable.
  • Knowledge of HICMR and GENCA standards infection control and WHS requirements or willingness to learn
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication & problem-solving skills
  • Ability to be team player and work autonomously when needed.
  • Must be reliable/dependable
  • Flexible with shift times Monday-Friday and occasional weekends
