Position Overview: In fall 2023 Cathedral will opened its first Center for Campus Ministry. The Campus Minister will have a unique opportunity to work with the administration to continue to build programs and initiatives that support the faith and personal development of the Cathedral community. Retreat offerings service programs community outreach sacramental worship and peer ministry will all be critical initiatives led by the Campus Minister. Essential Job Functions:Collaborate with the administrative team and other members of the faculty and staff to develop an array of retreat offerings that have the potential to impact all students at the Catholic identity and charism of the school in ways that involve students faculty and staff and in collaboration with the Cathedral of the Holy meaningful service and community outreach initiatives for all grade as the school liaison to the Cathedral of the Holy a Campus Minister program for students that engages them in school liturgies and other opportunities to deepen their willing to teach 1-2 sections of religious education. Qualifications and characteristics: Ability to work occasional nights and weekendsExperience in youth/campus ministryAcademic background in Theology or Religious StudiesDeep understanding of and respect for the Catholic faith traditionExcellent social and strong communications skillsWell-organized and detail-orientedAbility to work effectively with an ethnic cultural and diverse student working with inner-city youth and a clear desire to transform young livesFamiliarity with policies relative to Catholic education put forth by the Office of Secretary of Education/ Superintendent of Schools of the Archdiocese of Boston and/or by the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Boston
