Assistant Chief Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Main Campus
The University of Kansas Health System Department of Anesthesiology is seeking an Assistant Chief Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for busy academic medical center. Enjoy a friendly and collaborative culture teamwork and a positive work environment.

Successful completion of nursing anesthesia program certification and eligibility for licensure in the State of Kansas are .

CRNAs are integrated members of the anesthesia care team comprised of more than 120 CRNAs 65 anesthesiologists residents and anesthesia technicians
Broad caseload in multiple surgical specialties - transplant trauma ortho ENT neurosurgery OB and hearts; sub-specialty interests welcome
CRNAs perform a full range of procedures
Flexible scheduling available
8 10 12-hour shifts
Ability to move between OR settings including ASCs
Established night-team provides majority of call coverage
Additional compensation for call; averaging 10-12/year with pre and post call day off

JOB REQUIREMENTS
4 year experience as CRNA
Current license in good standing to practice as a CRNA in the state of Kansas
Maintain appropriate continuing education credits for CRNA recertification as defined by the AANA and the council on recertification of nurse anesthetists
Masters degree (minimal standard)
Current BLS and ACLS certification
Demonstrated ability to satisfy standards of performance delineated by law and associated professional practice standards
Willing to have difficult conversations as needed and escalate issues to Chief as needed
