Job Description
At ACAP weve been empowering children and families through early childhood education for nearly 60 years. As a Teacher Assistant you will work closely with teachers to create fun nurturing spaces where they can grow learn and thrive.
Positions will start August 2025.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or High School Equivalent (GED) and a minimum of 1 year of experience in a preschool classroom child care daycare or other early childhood education setting is required. A CDA credential is strongly recommended. An associates degree or bachelors degree in early childhood education or associated field (at least 15 hours of ECE coursework) with a minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred. Bi- or Multi-lingual skills are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Help teachers plan and execute engaging age-appropriate curriculum for preschool classrooms (children ages 3-5) or Early Head Start classrooms (infants and toddlers)
- Assist with child education plans assessments progress notes and other required documentation.
- Help maintain a safe healthy environment ensuring adequate supervision in all indoor/outdoor activities and compliance with all safety and licensing standards.
- Support relationship building with parents/guardians to ensure every childs growth development and well-being are supported both in and out of the classroom.
