Position Overview:
The Production Cook prepares food for service for residents patients employees and visitors.
What youll do:
- Prepare meals for service per recipe
- Assist with menu and recipe development
- Adhere to all local state and federal food safety and sanitation codes
- Accurately complete all temperature logs to ensure food safety
- Maintain all food storage and production areas in inspection-ready condition.
- Monitor overproduction to minimize waste
- Serve patrons and complete sales via POS in retail outlet
- Daily use of Food Service Management software for production sheets
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of cooking/food production.
- 1 year food safety experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of cooking in large-scale production kitchen
- Experience cooking in a healthcare environment
- Servsafe or Food Safety Manager certified
- 2-year culinary degree
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting of 50 #. Standing for long periods of time. Working in an environment that includes a wide range of temperatures including production areas and walk-in coolers/freezers.
Travel Requirements:
- 100% Onsite
Compensation Disclosure:
- $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
