Job Title: Fundraising Specialist - Fort Dodge Area
Classification: Exempt
Reports To: Chief Development Officer
Location: Fort Dodge IA

We are seeking a Fundraising Specialist based in the Fort Dodge area to strengthen community partnerships and philanthropic support through donor cultivation and strategic fundraising efforts. Cultivate solicit and steward individual and corporate donors.
Manage a portfolio of major and mid-level donors with a focus on retention and growth.
Implement campaigns annual appeals and fundraising initiatives in collaboration with the development team.
Plan and host donor-focused events and community outreach efforts.
Maintain accurate records and donor interactions in the organizations CRM.
Coordinate with Marketing & Communications to ensure consistent messaging and recognition.
Identify and pursue sponsorships and new funding opportunities.
Contribute to grant research and support proposal development.
Represent One Vision at community events building brand awareness and relationships.
Craft compelling stories and content for press releases newsletters emails social media and other communications channels.
Bachelors degree in Nonprofit Management Communications Marketing or related field.
2 years of experience in fundraising or donor development (experience in Fort Dodge or rural areas a plus).
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to cultivate donor relationships and inspire giving.
Self-starter with excellent organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
Passion for One Visions mission and commitment to inclusion and accessibility.
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends as needed.
Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
Frequently moves to attend meetings events and donor visits (including outdoors).
Ability to transport and set up event materials (up to 25 lbs).
Regular travel within the Fort Dodge region.
Donor Retention Rate: 70% year over year
New Donors Acquired: 50 annually
Major Gift Prospects Identified: 20 annually
Fundraising Revenue: Contribute $50000 in year one
Donor/Community Events: Plan or support 3 annually
CRM Data Accuracy: 95%
Community Engagement: Attend 2 networking events monthly
Grant Support: Contribute to 1 proposals annually
