Summary:

Performs a variety of duties in the evaluation treatment planning and treatment of patients such as medical work-ups of inpatients and outpatients; assists/completes fluoroscopic and surgical procedures; participates in providing postoperative care and follow-up; performs other medical/surgical services on patient divisions as may be requested. Coverage at both SBAC and Main Campus is expected.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience
License and Certification Requirement
1. License to practice as a Physician Assistant and Radiologic Technologist in the State of New York.
2. Current registration as a Radiologic Technologist in New York State.
3. Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission for Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA) or other national certifying body recognized the New York State Education Department.
4. Current Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Education and Experience
Completion of a New York State Education Department-approved Radiology Practitioner program or a New York State Education Department-approved equivalent.

NOTE:
1. As a condition of continued employment incumbents must obtain and maintain the certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within ninety (90) days of their appointment to this title.
2. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
