  • 46670 - 57025 per annum (pro rata if part time)

Clinical Healthy Child Practice Manager (HCPM) for the Woodbridge and Kesgrave and Framlingham and Leiston Health Visiting teams based at Kesgrave Family Hub 22 Bell Lane Kesgrave Suffolk IP5 1JQ.

You will:

  • be at the forefront of managing change driving performance and continuous improvement whilst leading high-quality services and effective ways of working
  • lead the teams in their planning and reviewing of service delivery to ensure that this is of high quality to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and their families
  • directly manage and lead staff alongside resources and projects which focus on the social emotional physical and intellectual wellbeing of children and their family from pregnancy to 5 years through the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and the Childrens Centre Statutory Framework as outlined in the Health and Childrens Centre Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and in accordance with our clinical governance framework
  • alongside other public-sector partners voluntary sector and communities to engage and enable community led activity through the Health and Childrens Centres developing resilient communities which rely less on public services.

Your role and responsibilities

  • lead and manage your team to develop high quality practice through supervision mentorship and performance development reviews. This will include embedding effective ways of working using Signs of Safety disciplines and tools
  • apply a strengths-based approach to practice consistent with that of Signs of Safety (SOS) and use the SOS principles disciplines and tools
  • lead continuous service improvement and ensure high quality provision of services are delivered in compliance with plans for future service development and in line with national guidance and service specification
  • ensure the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme to all children young people and their families including fathers starting in the ante-natal period
  • ensure staff work in accordance with regulatory and statutory documents legal frameworks NICE guidance and Suffolk County Council policy and procedures
  • create and maintain a learning culture by modelling effective practice building on research and support colleagues to meet the educational and developmental needs of all the team members including students.

You will need:

  • Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Registered
  • Clinical experience and skills
  • Leadership and management experience and skills
  • Managing change experience and skills
  • Managing projects experience and skills
  • Experience relating to performance quality and service improvement.

Suffolks Health (0-19) and Childrens Centres provide services for both prospective and existing parents/carers children and young people focusing on the earliest point of intervention to enable the best outcomes for children. Supporting the delivery of the Healthy Child programme a prevention and early intervention public health programme that lies at the heart of the universal service for children and families and aims to improve health outcomes and ensure those at risk are identified at the earliest opportunity.
