The Rural Clinical School Research Centre is on the lookout for a driven and talented Postdoctoral Research Fellow to lead impactful health research that makes a real difference.
Were seeking someone with a PhD (or equivalent experience) in health research epidemiology statistics or health services researchsomeone who thrives in a mixed-methods environment and brings a proven record of high-quality research output.
In this role youll independently drive innovative research collaborate with a dynamic team and co-create high-impact publications reports and communications. You will support and coordinate research projects with the Supervisor in a non-lab-based environment with competency to conduct high quality mixed-methods research.

Key responsibilities will include:
Research: Lead and execute high-quality mixed-methods research by applying best-practice methodologies overseeing data collection (e.g. surveys interviews) managing participant recruitment and maintaining accurate records in line with protocols and policies in a non-lab-based environment.
Drive research impact and collaboration by analysing data producing publishable outputs in reputable outlets contributing to joint projects tracking project progress and delivering timely reports to stakeholders and supervisors.
Supervision and Researcher Development: Contribute to the effective supervision of Honours and Higher Degree by Research students (as appropriate).
Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships demonstrate leadership through mentoring engage in internal service roles and committees perform administrative functions provide support to colleagues and uphold university values.

Completion or near completion of a Ph.D. in a medicine or health-related field.
An emerging research profile in the discipline area.
Evidence of leading coordinating and participating in non-lab-based research
Evidence of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
Evidence of contributions towards successfully obtaining research funding.
Some experience in meaningful internal service roles and contributions toward external service activities.
Ability to work within a fast-paced flexible and supportive team environment.
Understanding of and experience working in a rural health care/workforce research environment is preferred but not necessary.
A current Queensland drivers license.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks including right to work in Australia criminal check education check.
