As an Analyst working on the Threats Investigations and Platform Security (TIPS) team you will be responsible for identifying and reporting on both internal and external threats to the company. Identification and investigation of these threats requires the ability to effectively manage a wide swath of resources including internal resources and open source intelligence (OSINT).
To fill this role successfully you will need to have extremely strong and more importantly flexible analytical skills to respond to a wide variety of risks that require identification assessment investigation and resolution. Ability to work with individuals from a variety of disciplines verticals and industries is essential. The ability to clearly and succinctly communicate the nature and scale of identified risks to decision makers is also a critical factor in the success of the team.
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine CA.
Responsibilities:
Write actionable reports that can clearly identify abusive trends and patterns to various cross-functional stakeholders
Coordinate and respond to internal and external inquiries for data
Create and fine-tune alerts to help monitor an ever-increasing threat landscape
Collaborate with industry peers ISACs government and non-for-profit agencies in pursuit of improving both risk assessment and knowledge of the industry
Support day-to-day operations of Blizzards Platform Security team and various departments
Leverage internal and external resources to identify emerging threats and risks that potentially harm Blizzards operations.
Requirements:
3 years of experience working in threat intelligence investigative and OSINT work
Basic understanding of game security and game development
Clear and concise documentation and reporting skills
Ability to handle and work on disturbing content
Experience with intelligence gathering platforms
Gathering and analyzing high volumes of data from a variety of sources
Ability to produce well-researched reports
Experience with issue tracking and collaborative documentation tools
Passion for protecting the player experience
Recommended:
Self-motivated about learning new tech online communities and cybersecurity
Ability to thrive in a highly dynamic work environment
Experience working with Splunk Google Cloud and Big Query
Experience maintaining bug-bounty programs
Hands on-working knowledge of programming or scripting languages (i.e. Python)

You can learn more by visiting the U.S. the standard base pay range for this role is $30.05 - $55.59 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately your specific range and offer will be based on several factors including relevant experience performance and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this roles range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates new hire compensation is negotiable.
