Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists in patient treatment with Dentist and assists the Dental Department with patient flow sterilization and asepsis of equipment dental outside lab procedures; maintains appropriate inventory levels and performs dental x-rays. Educated and expected to competently care for the pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric patient (age 3 100 ). Must be certified to take radiographs /graduate of an approved dental assistant program.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Minimum of a High School diploma or GED is required. Graduate of a certified dental assistant program (or equivalent such as 1 year experience in a dental office doing chair side or completion of Armed Forces training) is also required.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
Must be certified in radiographs /or graduate of a certified dental program in order to perform x-rays.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Knowledge of oral hygiene and dental assistance functions.
- Excellent manual dexterity and ability to perform detailed and accurate work.
- Excellent interpersonal skills that demonstrate concern and caring attitude towards patients family members and staff.
- Basic computer proficiency inclusive of ability to enter and access data/information.
- Experience in Radiology specifically CBCT preferred
- Dental Radiology Certification required
- Experience in dental impressions preferred
