You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThis position is central to the missionaries role to Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement repentance baptism receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end. The incumbent will assist the In-Field Missionary Learning and Development (MLD) team in administrative and training functions for 200-500 mentors and supervise the areas training assistants. This person will also work closely with the operations coordinator divisions regional managers mentor trainers and mentors to assist in the effort of ensuring the proper training of missionaries.
Reports to Operations Coordinator and supports regional team
Assists the division in the following areas (30%)
Interviewing hiring onboarding and offboarding of mentors and mentor trainers
Manages administrative tasks including the following:
o Monitors substitution process and any undesirable patterns of performance
o Schedule observations interviews performance reviews exit interviews meetings etc.
o Serves on committees as assigned
o Disciplinary functions (2nd witness during warnings logs and tracks and reports performance to manager for direct reports)
o Coordinate contract extensions and addendums with Area HR
o Assists in time and absence needs for mentors and mentor trainers
Provides for Missionary Needs (10%)
Coordinates communication between Training Scheduling and Area Staff
Strategic Planning (50%)
Coordinates mentor assignments and shifts
Fulfills infield missionary projections and ensure appropriate staffing levels
Monitor mentor performance reports in coordination with the mentor trainer
Maintains and updates changes to area webpage
Supervises and trains area assistants (5%)
Supervises the work of other employees (may include mixed workforce)
Provides suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring firing advancement promotion or any other change of status of employees under their supervision
Required:
2 years of college or administrative experience (or equivalent combination of college and work experience)
Must have excellent organization ability
Ability to communicate (verbal and written) at a high proficiency in English
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to quickly understand and work with technology
Must be an excellent problem-solver
Ability to handle pressure well
Ability to maintain confidentiality
To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using monitors/equipment.
Preferred:
Experience as an MTC trainer
Fluency in a second language
Understanding of Preach My Gospel and the current MTC curriculum
Excellent training ability in large/small group settings (using the training model and coaching techniques)
