Hey Vet Nurses we have an exciting opening for someone to join our amazing team.
Our vet nursing team is in need of some help while one of our lovely nurses goes on maternity leave we are after someone experienced to be a core part of our team. Going forward we will also have room to keep you on either with South Perth or with another Vetwest.
Does this sound like you
You are qualified with a Certificate 4 in veterinary nursing.
You have amazing attention to detail.
You are compassionate and caring towards your patients.
You are comfortable treating surgical and medical cases.
Your responsibilities would include:
In-patient and surgical patient examination.
Hospital treatments through the day. Our Smartflow software really helps to keep track of this.
Preparing the surgical and diagnostic areas. Aseptic surgical kit preparation
Collecting samples for pathology testing. We have a full suite of IDEXX in-house path analysers.
Preparing for anaesthetics placing IV catheters.
Monitoring anaesthesia with the assistance of pulse oximetry capnography NIBP and ECG on all patients.
General and dental radiography.
Patient admits and discharges.
* Reception and communicating with clients.
We can offer 30 hours per week and also working a Saturday every third weekend which is 8.30-13.30. Of course those hours may go up depending on what is happening during the week but can definitely offer those hours.
The Vetwest Clinics are fantastic and once you have your foot in the door you can also pick up shifts from other clinics if you are needing more hours.
