    Key Responsibilities

    a) Client/delivery/sales related

    • Manager review of returns prepared by reviewers
    • Communicating with the client and other KPMG offices and internal teams (queries calls emails meetings)
    • Attending/preparing also leading governance meetings/calls kick-off meetings
    • Onboarding of new registrations/takeover (internal process roll-out as well)
    • Ensuring a quality delivery to the client
    • Escalating client or delivery issues client engagement partner
    • Identifying and delivering/leading ad hoc projects (e.g. automation of work)
    • Identifying pull through opportunities and increasing penetration of KGSH services for clients


    b) People management and organizational

    • Performance manager for allocated team members
    • Providing professional VAT technical training and client centricity trainings to colleagues
    • Effectively working together with delivery and other teams of KGSH members of the Client Service team
    • Mentor to client service team members including VAT compliance managers preparers reviewers coordinators and more junior client managers

    c) Engagement management

    • Acting as engagement manager on codes (where feasible) reviewing/approving incoming/outgoing invoices updating WIP ensuring that all work is (e.g. tax audit tech developments) is invoiced
    • Monitoring the financial performance of client engagements with Engagement Partner as a control point
    • Ensuring compliance with internal risk management procedures (i.e. reviewing and ensuring that proper SAN/MFE/contracts etc. are in place)
    • Meeting financial targets set


      Requirements

      • University or College diploma
      • Knowledge and understanding of Core IDT processes and Solid VAT knowledge
      • Proven ability to help improve the compliance process for client(s)
      • Any people manager experience is an advantage
      • VAT compliance experience ideally for more jurisdictions
      • Experience as a Client Manager and managing client relationships on complex client accounts
      • Demonstrated experience managing large complex clients and overseeing end-to-end processes from a client management perspective
      • Fluency in English (speaking and writing)
