Job Title: Senior Database Administrator 3rd Line Production Support

We are seeking a seasoned and proactive Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with over 9 years of experience to join our 3rd Line Production Support team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle (including RAC RMAN DataGuard and GoldenGate) with additional experience in PostgreSQL MySQL and NoSQL environments. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability performance security and reliability of mission-critical databases across both on-premise and cloud (AWS Azure) infrastructures. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead 3rd line support for production databases ensuring 24x7 availability and rapid incident resolution
- Design and implement disaster recovery strategies and conduct regular DR drills
- Perform root cause analysis for critical incidents and provide long-term solutions
- Optimize database performance through AWR analysis SQL tuning and resource monitoring
- Manage database upgrades patching and migrations with minimal downtime
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and performance
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine DBA tasks and monitoring
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior DBAs and support teams
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards including user access control auditing encryption and patching
- Manage incident and change management processes aligned with ITIL best practices
- 9 years of experience as a Production DBA with a focus on Oracle (11g/12c/19c) RMAN DataGuard and GoldenGate
- Strong experience in backup & recovery disaster recovery planning and high availability solutions (RAC replication clusters failover testing)
- Performance tuning expertise: AWR/ASH analysis SQL tuning indexing partitioning query optimization
- Experience with PostgreSQL MySQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB Redis)
- Proficiency in cloud platforms: AWS RDS Azure Database Services OCI
- Monitoring and automation using OEM Nagios Prometheus and custom scripts (Shell Python)
- Security and compliance: user access control auditing encryption patching
- Incident and change management: ITIL-aligned processes RCA change planning stakeholder communication
- Strong analytical communication and documentation skills
- Leadership in incident management and technical discussions
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate (preferred)
- PostgreSQL Administration Training (preferred)
