Job Description
We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-weeks travel/contract assignment in Rochester NY 14621.
Job Details:
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2800 - $2960
- Schedule: 8 hr. Days
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Perform all diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures as ordered by the physician including general nuclear medicine scans and advanced cardiology studies.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor patients during imaging procedures.
- Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment such as gamma cameras PET/CT scanners and SPECT systems.
- Ensure proper radiation safety protocols are followed for patients staff and the environment.
- Accurately document patient information and imaging results in the hospitals medical records system.
- Assist in the preparation for and execution of stress and amyloid testing (preferred).
- Maintain clean and organized imaging rooms and ensure equipment is functioning optimally.
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and radiologists for efficient and safe patient care.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine program or completion of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- 3 years of experience working as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Required Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Valid New York State License in Nuclear Medicine.
- Certification by NMTCB and/or ARRT (N).
- AHA BLS/CPR Certification (active and current).
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in Nuclear Cardiology Stress Testing.
- Experience in Amyloid Imaging Procedures.
- Does not accept local candidates within 75 miles.
