We are seeking a qualified and experienced M&I Inspection Engineer to carry out inspection evaluation and documentation of Storage Tanks Pressure Vessels and Heat Exchangers during maintenance shutdowns and project assignments. The role demands a strong understanding of applicable codes standards and inspection techniques.
Perform detailed internal and external visual inspections of Storage Tanks Pressure Vessels Columns and Heat Exchangers.
Conduct NDT activities: UT MPT DPT and thickness gauging.
Review and interpret inspection procedures datasheets drawings isometrics and specifications.
Coordinate with client QA/QC and operations teams to plan and execute inspection schedules.
Identify equipment anomalies such as corrosion deterioration bulging cracks etc. and recommend maintenance actions.
Monitor and verify repair and maintenance work during shutdowns.
Ensure compliance with ASME Sec VIII and applicable industry standards.
Prepare detailed inspection reports and update equipment history records.
Diploma / B.E. / in Mechanical Engineering.
5-6 years of field experience in inspection of static equipment in refinery petrochemical or similar industrial environments.
ASNT Level II in:
Radiographic Testing (RT)
Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT)
Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT)
API 510 / API 653 certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of welding inspection pressure testing thickness monitoring and corrosion mapping.
Familiarity with standards: API ASME IS ASTM.
Proficiency in MS Excel Word and report preparation.
Excellent coordination and communication skills.
Contract / Project-based / Full-Time (depending on assignment)
9 hours duty (primarily 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
Sunday Weekly Off
Occasional shift duties as per site requirements
40000 to 45000 CTC
