Job Description
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Our Veterinary Technicians are responsible for client communications in person and on the phone checking in and out appointments phlebotomy catheter placement cystocentesis fine-needle aspirates animal restraint anesthesia monitoring surgical prep running treatments on our appointments and stellar patient care. Our ideal candidate will have strong computer skills and excellent customer care skills. You must also be thoughtful friendly curious responsible punctual and have a strong desire to learn! CVT LVT RVT a definite plus!
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites scratches animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications :

- Pays attention to detail and is a fast learner
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely
- Interpret medical records and record client history accurately
- Knowledge in preventative care and hospital flow
- Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner
- Proficient in sample collection to include blood samples urine fecal and skin
- Ability to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and tests preferred but not required
- Proficient in positioning and capturing radiographs
- Proficient in anesthesia preparation monitoring and recovery
- A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance ones knowledge and skillset
- Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency
Desired Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2-year experience preferred CVT/RVT/LVT a bonus
- Animal handling experience
- Avimark experience
- Experience working in an AAHA accredited veterinary hospital
