Duties:
- Stocks shelves and rearranges stock to accommodate inventory movement and maximize space utilization.
- Reviews quality of inventory and coordinates with vendor to rectify incorrect shipments or return damaged goods.
- Checks purchase receipts and invoices for accuracy.
- Performs inventory control and monitors supply usage.
- Maintains compliance with State and agency policies regarding receipt issuance inventory and security of supplies materials and equipment.
- Leads oversees or supervises inmate workers.
- Instructs and trains on work techniques and procedures safe operation of equipment.
- Pick up products from multiple locations (Lincoln NE) once a week and deliver to the Work Ethic Camp. Assist and supervise the loading of the truck and ensure the truck is loaded correctly. Responsible for performing pre-trip vehicle checks safety checks and inspections prior to driving.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds without assistance.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: One year of experience in inventory warehouse material supply or other closely related field.
Other: Must have a valid drivers license. Applicants accepting a job offer must pass the following pre-employment exams in this order: medical exam and at a randomly announced time pass a drug test. Once at the Staff Training Academy must successfully complete the fully paid Nebraska Corrections Training Program.
