Job Description
The Platform System Architect plays a crucial role in our organization designing and implementing the underlying infrastructure and systems that support various applications and services. Their responsibility is not just to ensure the scalability reliability security and performance of these systems but also to enable smooth operation and foster innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Designing and Implementing Platform Infrastructure: Platform System Architects design and implement the technical foundations upon which applications and services are built. This includes hardware software networking and security components.
2. Ensuring Scalability and Reliability: They ensure that the platform can handle current and future workloads providing robust and reliable performance.
3. Security Implementation: Platform System Architects implement security measures to protect the platform and its data from unauthorized access or breaches.
4. Collaborating with Developers and Other Teams: The Platform System Architect is a key player in our collaborative environment. They work closely with developers product managers and other teams understanding their requirements and ensuring that the platform meets their needs.
5. Staying Up to Date with Emerging Technologies: As a Platform System Architect you will be at the forefront of technological advancements. Its your responsibility to stay current with the latest trends and technologies in the field ensuring our platform remains competitive and innovative.
6. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: They document the architecture configurations and procedures using industry-standard tools and methods ensuring that others can understand and maintain the platform.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Strong Technical Skills: Expertise in hardware software networking and security.
2. Problem-solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues optimize system performance and make informed decisions.
3. Communication and Collaboration Skills: Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences and collaborate with diverse teams.
4. Experience with Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
5. Knowledge of Security Best Practices: Understanding of security principles protocols and technologies.
6. Experience with System Design and Documentation: Ability to create and maintain clear and concise documentation for system designs.
