Oversees monthly subsidiary reporting packages including reviews updates and transmissions to parent company for assigned entities.
Prepares multiple monthly and quarterly reporting packages for assigned shared service entities.
Performs and coordinates shared service accounting functions for assigned subsidiaries and affiliates.
Partners with Senior Financial Analyst to review and inform content of Budgets and Forecasts for assigned entities.
Cross trains and routinely execute accounting functions.
Assists with the determination of accounting for routine and non-routine transactions.
Cross trains on treasury responsibilities including cash management system reconciliations and confirmations.
Performs self-insurance plan accounting including all monthly transactions and financial reporting.
Coordinates and prepares intercompany billings and reconciliations for consolidated reporting purposes.
Assists with the development implementation and monitoring of finance policies procedures and controls.
Communicates and enforces financial reporting deadlines (monthly/quarterly reports annual budgets forecasts etc.) for assigned entities.
Assists with preparation of annual consolidated financial statements.
Prepares reviews and files recurring compliance reports (including Department of Commerce Reports).
Other responsibilities or requests as directed or assigned.
Job Specifications:
BA or BS with emphasis in Accounting/Finance with 5 years of related experience.
Regular contact with subsidiaries requires strong verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced computer skills with a good understanding and experience using Microsoft Excel (including Power Query) Word and PowerPoint.
Willingness to learn new tools and skills to optimize processes.
GAAP Good knowledge of accounting principles and current issues in accounting.
High-level attention to detail for accuracy in accounting practices.
High level of initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
