Overview

CHI Carrington Health now part of CommonSpirit Health formed by the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health have a variety of skills from clinical to project management. In our Critical Access Hospital you will be exposed to the emergency department acute care (Med/Surg) swing bed surgery outpatient treatment and so much more!

Responsibilities

As our Clinic RN at CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington youll provide nursing care to patients in the ambulatory clinic setting assist providers with procedures and maintain efficient work flow of the clinic. Your responsibilities include intake of a patients vital signs medications allergies personal histories etc. This position requires strong interpersonal skills computer skills patient coordination flexibility and the ability to work well with patients providers vendors and associates.

What youll do...

  • Patient Care-Performs duties such as intake of vital signs current medications allergies social history surgical history and medical history. Assesses patients for abuse risks and suicide risks. Performs procedures administers medications and assists patients as needed with care. Returns telephone calls and test results to patient/caregiver.
  • Office Management-Performs general office duties such as ordering supplies stocking rooms. Management of records monitoring outdated supplies and medications and monitoring providers schedules for inaccuracies.
  • Satellite Clinics-Prepare essential paperwork needed for offsite locations monitor providers schedule prepare needed supplies and travel to satellite locations if needed. Must have the ability to coordinate schedules for the patients and provider with a multidisciplinary team at both on and off site locations.
  • Computer Skills-Uses various software programs to prepare patient charts for visit research patient history and medication usage and utilizes EMR for pertinent information for patient visit.
  • Communication-Utilizes good communication skills because of the constant communication both oral and written with patients families visitors and Medical Center Staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse Degree from an approved school of nursing
  • North Dakota Registered Nurse License (RN) or compact license that allows practice in the state of North Dakota.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Working knowledge of basic clinical skills in delivery of patient care.
  • Communication proficiency time management and flexibility required.
