About the role
As a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) in the Armidale Mental Health Unit you will lead deliver and evaluate clinical education programs that support excellence in mental health care. Working collaboratively with nursing leadership and educators youll mentor staff and students coordinate orientation and development programs and foster a culture of learning and clinical best practice.
Key responsibilities
- Plan deliver and assess clinical education programs aligned with best practice
- Support new graduates undergraduates and trainees through orientation and mentoring
- Facilitate individualised clinical teaching and development across all staff levels
- Maintain and assess competency in key clinical skills (e.g. BLS manual handling)
- Provide clinical education at the bedside when needed or in emergencies
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support workforce capability and quality care
- Contribute to quality improvement research and professional development initiatives

You are a passionate and experienced nurse educator with a strong foundation in mental health nursing. You bring exceptional communication leadership and facilitation skills and are driven to empower others through knowledge-sharing and mentorship.
