Job Description
Data Engineer:Design develop implement and maintain data and database systems and solutions to support the companys business operations. Work with management to determine business data and data management requirements. Define and implement best practices for database design and development in a diverse array of domain areas including data migrations data archival and disaster recovery and big data analytics solutions requiring batch or streaming data pipelines data sales and data warehouses. Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify database identifiers using Python Java Scala and Go. Verify the consistency completeness and accuracy of data and reporting systems and make modifications as necessary. Coordinate system improvements bug fixes and deployments with software development quality assurance and customer support teams. Work with management sales and marketing teams clients and other stakeholders to gather analytical requirements including business problems desired analytical reports visual dashboards and operational metrics. Continuously evaluate the quality and performance of the companys data infrastructure and reporting tools including end-to-end data flow real-time data capture and reporting systems. Stay abreast of the latest technological advances and industry trends in IT database design and data engineering and evaluate new technologies for implementation.
Requirements:The position requires a Masters degree in Information Systems or a related field and nine months of experience in the job offered or a related position. This may be substituted with a Bachelors degree in Information Systems or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related position. The position requires skills and knowledge in Python Java SQL Tableau and Relational Database Management Systems.
